At least seven police personnel martyred in explosion near police vehicle in Lakki Marwat
LAKKI MARWAT: At least seven police personnel were martyred in a explosion near a police vehicle in the Bettani tribal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Lakki Marwat sector, a police representative stated on Friday.
According to the representative, the explosion occurred close to a police mobile, resulting in the deaths of six officers, while one policeman sustained injuries in the event.
The injured cop was rushed to Insaafuddin Hospital but succumbed to his injuries during care.
Following the explosion, additional police contingents were dispatched to the area to secure the site and assist in further response measures, the representative further stated.
Condemning the event, Interior Secretary Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the martyred police personnel and expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to their families.
