Conan O'Brien reveals joke he made up, then cut for Oscars

Conan O'Brien has revealed that one of this year's Best Picture nominees has defeated him and his entire writing team.

They admitted they wrote 5,000 jokes about Train Dreams and cut every release one of them.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on 11th March, just days before his return as Oscars emcee on 15th March, O'Brien shared the best joke they managed to come up with about the Joel Edgerton feature.

" Train Dreams was nominated for Best Picture. Finally, a picture that proves being a Pacific Northwest lumberjack in the early 1900s wasn't as fun as it sounds."

The watchers's response was muted, with only a handful having even seen the feature.
