Man killed, son wounded in violent clash
A 40-year-old man was killed while his son was injured after seven armed men allegedly stormed their house and attacked them with axes and iron rods over a dispute related to the alleged abduction of a girl, police stated on Wednesday.
According to a police short report, the event occurred in Chak 610-GB.
In a complaint lodged with the police, Majid, son of Lateef Ahmed, stated that his brother Shaukat Ali had allegedly abducted a girl belonging to the charged individual faction.
The matter had earlier been settled through restoration of relations by local elders, but the charged individual allegedly attacked the family to avenge the dispute.
