Could Mohammad Amir's British citizenship pave way for IPL?
Pakistan left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir has reportedly obtained British citizenship, apparently paving the way for his selection in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The development came to light after Amir reshared an Instagram post, referencing approval of his British citizenship, with the fast bowler previously hinting at a possible IPL appearance once eligible.
Last year, the 34-year-former spoke publicly about the prospects of featuring in the IPL as a British resident. Amir acquired UK citizenship following his marriage to British national Narjis Khan.
