Iranian External Government department Representative Esmaeil Baghaei condemned the threats by US representatives against Oman, according to an X post from the Iranian Government department of External relations.
According to the comment, "He considered the security concern by the US Treasury Secretary to impose economic penalties on Oman" an attempt to "blackmail an independent province and a member of the United Nations."
