Legal defence team secretary hints at 'positive outcome' in Pakistan-mediated US-Iran dialogue
Legal defence team Secretary Khawaja Asif on Saturday stated that Pakistan's efforts in ongoing US-Iran dispute resolution effort were gradually moving towards a "positive outcome", expressing hope for calm across the zone and beyond.
"We have slowly moved closer to a positive result in the US-Iran dispute resolution effort," the legal defence team czar informed Geo News in Sialkot.
According to Asif, Chief of Forces Staff (COAS) and Chief of Legal defence team Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir and Interior Secretary Mohsin Naqvi's presence in Iran itself "signalled the matter was nearing" a formal declaration.
Field Marshal Munir landed in Tehran on Friday as Islamabad stepped up its external efforts to help end the US-Israel conflict on Iran.
During the visit — accompanied by Interior Secretary Mohsin Naqvi, who was already in Tehran — Chief of Legal defence team Forces (CDF) Munir met Iranian External affairs chief Abbas Araghchi, Head Masoud Pezeshkian and Legislature House chairperson Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf to discuss regional de-intensification and ongoing dispute resolution effort efforts.
