Make us preferred on Google NAB Islamabad Director Senior commander Waqar Ahmad Chauhan hands over recovered offense proceeds to representatives of the Rawalpindi Progress Body on June 30, 2026. — NAB ISLAMABAD: The National Anti-graft bureau (NAB) Islamabad on Tuesday handed over recovered assets worth more than Rs 4.1 billion to the Rawalpindi Progress Body (RDA) in a senior officer fund misappropriation case involving the body’s departmental funds.
Sources privy to the matter stated that a formal handing-over ceremony was held at NAB Islamabad, during which NAB Waqar Director Senior commander Ahmad Chauhan formally handed over the recovered offense proceeds, comprising Call Deposit Receipts (CDRs) and immovable properties, to representatives of the Rawalpindi Progress Body.
The case pertains to the fund misappropriation of RDA’s departmental funds through the issuance of 321 CDRs. Following an probe by NAB, Rs1.75 billion was recovered through plea bargains, settlements and recoveries, while 31 immovable properties, valued at approximately Rs2.3 billion, were frozen and receiver has been appointed for the same.
The recovery was made possible under the close monitoring and special interest of the DG NAB.
The DG appreciated the team’s outstanding performance and restated again that the recovery and restitution of general assets remain one of NAB’s foremost priorities.
