Blasts documented near Pakistan diplomatic mission in Tehran: sources
ISLAMABAD: Explosions were documented near the Diplomatic mission of Pakistan and the residence of the diplomatic representative in Tehran, as the Iranian capital endured its 28th consecutive day of aerial bombardment, external sources verified on Friday.
The event comes as Islamabad, along with Turkiye and Egypt, continues shuttle diplomacy efforts aimed at securing a temporary calm between the United States and Iran.
The explosions occurred around 8pm on Thursday in areas close to both the diplomatic mission and the diplomatic representative’s residence in Tehran’s Pasdaran sector. Sources indicated that an Iranian legal defence team base located opposite the Pakistani Diplomatic mission may have been the target.
A senior diplomat informed Geo News that although the explosions were loud, the diplomatic mission and residences of the staff remained intact. He stated that external staff in the area were shaken by the event.
"There were loud explosions, but our windows did not break,” the diplomat stated, adding that personnel remain concerned due to the unstable condition.
