Bus-coach collision claims five lives
A collision between a bus and a coaster on Arif Wala Road near Adda Fitna left at least five individuals dead and more than 20 others injured.
According to local representatives, four of the injured are in a critical condition.
They stated the bus traveling from Burewala to Sahiwal collided head-on with the oncoming coaster.
The impact resulted in the immediate death of five coaster passengers.
Saeed, resident of 50/WB; Zain Tanveer, resident of Tufailabad; Hunras Masih, resident of 187/EB; and the coaster driver, Muhammad Ashiq, were killed in the accident. The injured were transported to a hospital, where medical staff verified that four of them were in a critical condition.
Reports indicate that the coaster passengers were on their way home to celebrate Eid. The bus driver fled after the crash. The area police reached the site and launched an probe into the accident.
