Civil-legal defence team leadership backs unified directive to protect Pakistan's protection, market
Top civil-legal defence team leadership endorsed a unified directive approach through consensus and institutional coordination to protect Pakistan's protection, market and food provision amid evolving regional challenges triggered by the US-Israel conflict on Iran.
The comment came following a high-level consultative session chaired by Head Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday to evaluate the evolving economic and energy condition in the backdrop of oil provision constraints and rising petroleum prices, alongside regional protection developments.
Premier Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Legal defence team Forces (CDF) and Chief of Forces Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also attended the session.
Other participants included Deputy Premier Senator Ishaq Dar, Pakistan Peoples Faction (PPP) Chairman and ex-external affairs chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, federal ministers Mohsin Naqvi, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Ali Pervaiz Malik, Ahad Khan Cheema and secretary finance.
The session reviewed the impact of fluctuations in global oil and gas supplies and prices on Pakistan's market, with particular focus on managing inflationary pressures and ensuring energy protection, the Head's House stated in a comment.
