DPM Dar states US-Iran ‘indirect dialogue’ taking place through messages being relayed by Pakistan
Deputy Premier and External affairs chief Ishaq Dar on Thursday stated that US-Iran “indirect dialogue” were taking place through messages being relayed by Pakistan.
“There has been unnecessary speculation in the press regarding negotiation formal dialogue to end ongoing dispute in the Middle East,” he stated in a post on the social press platform X.
“In reality, US-Iran indirect dialogue are taking place through messages being relayed by Pakistan. In this context, the United States has shared 15 points, being deliberated upon by Iran,” he stated.
“Brotherly countries of Turkiye and Egypt, among others, are also extending their backing to this drive,” he stated.
“Pakistan remains fully committed to promoting calm and continues to make every effort to ensure stability in the zone and beyond,” he stated, adding that formal dialogue and diplomacy were the only way forward.
He also tagged US Secretary of Province Marco Rubio, Iran’s External affairs chief Abbas Araghchi and US Head Donald Trump’s Middle East Diplomatic representative Steve Witkoff in the post.
