ISLAMABAD: In a senior officer progress signalling easing tensions in the zone, Deputy Premier and External affairs chief Senator Ishaq Dar announced that Iran has agreed to facilitate additional Pakistani vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, calling it a positive step towards calm and stability.

“I am pleased to share a great news that the Province of Iran has agreed to allow 20 more ships under the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz; two ships will cross the Strait daily.”

He stated the move reflects a constructive approach from Tehran. “This is a welcome and constructive gesture by Iran and deserves appreciation. It is a harbinger of calm and will help usher stability in the zone.”
