KP terror incidents drop 65% after launch of Op Ghazab lil-Haq: police
PESHAWAR: Terror incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have declined by 65% following the launch of Protection action Ghazab lil-Haq against terrorists and their backing general facilities in neighbouring Afghanistan, police stated on Saturday.
According to a short report compiled by KP police, 240 incidents of extremist unrest were documented this year in the territory before the protection action began, while 80 incidents have been recorded since its launch.
In total, 323 terror incidents have been documented so far this year, as per the short report.
The province protection units launched Protection action Ghazab lil-Haq last month after the Afghan Taliban regime's unprovoked aggression along the Pakistan–Afghanistan frontier.
As of Public demonstration 15, representatives stated that province protection units killed 684 Afghan Taliban operatives and militants, with more than 912 others injured.
