Liverpool's Salah to finish glittering Anfield profession at finish of season
Mohamed Salah, one of Liverpool's greatest-ever players and the driving authority behind the club's modern era of victory, will leave Anfield at the finish of the season.
The Egyptian forward, whose goals, durability, and iconic moments helped share two Premier Leagues, the Champions League, and a host of other major trophies, confirmed his exit in an emotional video on his social media accounts on Tuesday.
"Unfortunately the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell," Salah said. "I will be leaving Liverpool at the finish of the season.
"I never imagined how deeply this club, this urban, these individuals, would become part of my life," the 33-year-former added.
"Liverpool is not just a football club, it's a passion, it's a history, it's a spirit. I can't explain in words to anyone not part of this club. We celebrated victory, we won the most crucial trophies, and we fought together through the hardest time in our life."
