US-Iran 'indirect dialogue' under way through messages relayed by Pakistan, confirms Dar

Deputy Premier and External affairs chief Ishaq Dar has verified that indirect dialogue between the United States and Iran are under way through messages being relayed by Pakistan, with Turkiye and Egypt also helping in the effort.

"There has been unnecessary speculation in the press regarding negotiation formal dialogue to end [the] ongoing dispute in the Middle East," he wrote on X on Thursday, confirming that indirect dialogue were underway through messages being relayed by Pakistan.

The deputy premier further stated that Iran was deliberating upon 15 points shared by the United States.

"Pakistan remains fully committed to promoting calm and continues to make every effort to ensure stability in the zone and beyond," he stated, reiterating that "formal dialogue and diplomacy" was the only way forward.
