Weather short report: Will Karachi see rain today?
KARACHI: Despite an earlier projection of drizzle and light rain in parts of the metro, Karachi is now expected to remain dry for the rest of the day, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Division (PMD).
PMD Deputy Director Anjum Nazeer stated the skies over Karachi are currently clear and mostly sunny, contrary to the earlier rain warning issued by the Met Office.
He stated the weather is likely to clear further, with sunshine expected for a few hours during the day. While partly cloudy to cloudy conditions may develop later, he stated there is no chance of rain or drizzle in the port metro today.
Earlier, the Met Office had predicted partly cloudy weather over the next 24 hours, with chances of rain and drizzle in some areas of Karachi under the influence of a western weather system.
The division had stated the metro’s maximum temperature was likely to remain around 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 24.5 degrees Celsius. Humidity was measured at 84%.
