A newborn baby girl was found abandoned near a graveyard in the Bhurban Kahia area on the outskirts of Murree and was shifted to hospital by Recovery effort 1122.
According to reports, a passer-by spotted the infant early Tuesday morning near the graveyard and immediately alerted Recovery effort 1122. The recovery effort team reached the spot promptly, took the baby into custody and carried out an initial medical examination on-site before providing first relief.
The infant was then shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Murree, for further care. After her condition was declared stable, the hospital governing body handed the baby over to the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, Rawalpindi, under the Punjab province.
