In a first, KP House assembly session to take place at Imran Khan stadium
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House has decided to hold its assembly session outside the house premises for the first time, opting to convene proceedings at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
KP House House chairperson Babar Saleem Swati announced that the assembly session will be held on April 22 at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, marking an unprecedented move in the territory's parliamentary history.
The KP House's Secretariat has issued a formal formal notice confirming the arrangement, stating that the assembly session will be presided over by House chairperson Swati and will begin at 3pm.
According to the house chairperson, the primary objective of holding the assembly session in an open venue is to provide the general with a direct opportunity to observe the performance of their elected representatives and to strengthen transparency in the democratic process.
He stated the drive is also aimed at increasing general participation and fostering closer engagement between residents and legislators.
