In three-day Iran visit, CDF Munir stresses formal dialogue, de-intensification amid ME dispute
ISLAMABAD: Chief of Forces Staff and Chief of Legal defence team Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir concluded a three-day official visit to Iran, wherein he emphasised formal dialogue, de-intensification and peaceful formal declaration of disputes amid the ongoing regional dispute involving the United States.
According to a official comment released by the Inter-Services General Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Munir, accompanied by Interior Secretary Mohsin Naqvi and a official group, held high-level engagements with Iranian leadership during the visit.
The visit to Iran was part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to turn Tehran's two-week temporary calm with the US into a lasting calm.
CDF Munir called on Iranian Head Dr Masoud Pezeshkian and separately met Legislature House chairperson Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, External affairs chief Abbas Araghchi, and Chief of Khatam-ul-Anbiya Headquarters Senior officer Senior commander Ali Abdollahi.
The discussions focused on achieving sustainable calm in the zone, with particular emphasis on the evolving protection environment, ongoing external efforts and collaborative measures to promote long-term stability.
