Islamabad, Rawalpindi allow general and goods transport
The sector administrations in Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Saturday granted permission for all types of general and goods transport to enter the twin cities.
"Permission has been granted for all types of general and goods transport to enter the metro; all bus terminals across the metro have been reopened except for Faizabad," the Islamabad deputy board announced in a post on X.
He further stated that the Faizabad bus terminal will remain closed until further notice.
The formal declaration follows reports of the cancellation of a United States official group's visit to the federal capital for negotiation formal dialogue with Iran.
The Rawalpindi DC made a similar formal declaration, saying all entry and exit points of the metro have been reponed for all types of traffic, including private, general, and goods transport.
