Naran Road reopens after months
The long wait of the locals and tourists of the Kaghan Valley is over.
After five long months of roads and businesses in the Kaghan Valley remaining closed, the sector governing body and the National Highway Body (NHA) have finally opened the Kaghan Highway to all types of traffic.
As the roads reopened, restaurant and store owners unlocked their shutter and industry activity in the zone began to be restored.
Naran had been cut off since last November due to heavy snowfall and large glaciers in the winter season, which has now been cleared with the help of heavy machinery.
As soon as the roads were opened, hotel owners and traders headed to Naran metro to complete preparations before the arrival of the holiday season.
According to the governing body, although the road up to Naran metro has been cleared, arrangements for the regular arrival of tourists and their accommodation and food is underway and is expected to be completed soon.
