PM Shehbaz approves streamlining of P3A to expedite progress projects

Premier Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday gave in-principle endorsement to further integrate and strengthen the Joint general facilities model Body (P3A) and its related directive structure to speed up progress initiatives during a senior session.

According to a comment by the Premier's Office (PMO), PM Shehbaz chaired a senior session in Islamabad to accelerate progress projects through general-private partnerships (PPP) and instructed representatives to expedite the carrying out of the newly approved system.

"Session decided that the P3A would be placed under the Privatisation Division to align its performance with modern requirements and improve efficiency in PPP-based projects," it stated.

The comment further further stated that the premier directed that the capacity of relevant ministries and departments be enhanced to enable them to initiate progress projects through general-private partnerships.

Premier stated PPP-based projects should be made part of the key performance indicators (KPIs) of ministries and departments, adding that “through P3A, we were making the joint general facilities model system more transparent and faster”.
