PML-N Head Nawaz hails govt, CDF Munir for US-Iran dispute resolution effort efforts

Three-time former premier and PML-N Head Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday praised the central governing body and Chief of Legal defence team Forces and Chief of Forces Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir for their role in the US-Iran dispute resolution effort efforts.

Addressing a session of the PML-N’s parliamentary board for Gilgit-Baltistan, flanked by Premier Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Premier Ishaq Dar, the PML-N head stated that the role of DPM Dar and the field marshal is commendable.

Pakistan made headlines worldwide after Islamabad brokered a US-Iran temporary calm just hours before US Head Donald Trump’s “hell” warning was set to expire on April 8.

The global community breathed a sigh of assistance support earlier this month after Head Trump announced that he had agreed to a two-week temporary calm with Iran after discussions with Premier Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Munir.

During the last-ditch effort, PM Shehbaz had urged Trump to extend his deadline for two weeks to give diplomacy a chance, which was ultimately accepted by the US head.
