US, Iran delegations expected to leave for Islamabad today for dialogue: sources
In a senior officer external breakthrough, delegations from the United States and Iran are expected to leave for Pakistan today ahead of the second round of negotiation formal dialogue in Islamabad, sources stated on Friday.
The Iranian official group, including External affairs chief Abbas Araghchi, is expected to reach the federal capital tonight for the dialogue, province sources stated.
A US logistics and protection team is already present in the federal capital ahead of the potential second round of negotiation formal dialogue, they further stated.
Sources stated that the progress was the result of pivotal conversations conducted by Pakistan's dispute resolution effort team.
The progress emerged shortly after Deputy Premier and External affairs chief Ishaq Dar urged continued formal dialogue and engagement to resolve disputes between the US and Iran, saying the external process was essential for advancing regional calm and stability.
