Calls for fairness after Karachi trader killed in Balochistan firing

Ali Murtaza, a Karachi trader killed in a firing event in Balochistan's Dasht area, was laid to rest on Sunday as the industry community demanded fairness, immediate arrests, and a transparent probe.
The funeral prayers for Murtaza were offered at Rahmaniya Mosque on Tariq Road before he was buried at the Society Cemetery. A large number of family members, relatives, trader leaders and members of the industry community attended the funeral.
The trading community condemned the killing and urged the federal and Balochistan governments to immediately detention those responsible and ensure a transparent probe into the event.
Appealing to the representatives, Karachi Mobile Dealers Association Head Minhaj Gulfam stated: "We legal challenge to the province of the day, the province of Balochistan, the forces chief, and the interior secretary to ensure fairness is served for our martyred trader.
"The terrorists must be arrested immediately and brought to fairness." Gulfam further stated that the future course of action regarding Murtaza's killing would be decided after consultation.
