The vocalist-songwriter teamed up with DJ Martin Garrix to surprise a supporter who was unable to attend Garrix’s program on Saturday, June 27, because it was her wedding that same day.
The brother of the bride reached out to Garrix to ask if he could drop by after the program, which took place right next to the wedding venue.
“Martin did a program, I did a program, we finished,” Sheeran said in an Instagram video. “He’s got a DM from someone saying, can you crash my sister’s wedding?” he explained. “So we’re going to go crash the wedding.”
The duo then headed over to the Chicago Planetarium, surprising the happy couple and their guests.
