Father, two sons among five killed in traffic tragedies

Five individuals, including a father, his two sons and a student, were killed while another person sustained injuries in three separate road accidents in Faisalabad, police stated on Thursday.

In the first event, 26-year-old Nadeem Rehmatullah, a resident of Yasir Town, was returning home from Senior commander Hospital Samanabad with his seven-year-old son Ahmed and two-year-old son Rehmat when a speeding tractor-trolley allegedly hit their motorcycle on the Khanewana Bypass Road near Roshanwali Jhal Bypass.

Police stated the impact threw the victims onto the road, where they were run over by the tractor-trolley and died on the spot.

Police representatives reached the scene, shifted the bodies to a hospital for legal formalities and launched a search for the driver, who fled after the accident.

In another event in the limits of Madina Town police station, an 18-year-old O-Level student, Abu Bakar, lost his life after being struck by a car in Abdullah Garden on Canal Road.
