PM Shehbaz calls for urgent inhabitants planning to ease pressure on resources
Premier Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday emphasized that maintaining a balance between inhabitants expansion and available resources was essential for long-term progress, saying that rapid inhabitants expansion was placing increasing pressure on national resources and posing a senior officer challenge to the country's progress.
Chairing a senior session on inhabitants welfare, the premier stated that inhabitants planning must be aligned with national progress, economic stability, and the improvement of human resources, according to a press release from the Premier's Office Press Wing (PMO).
He directed the representatives to convene the inaugural session of the National Inhabitants Council at the earliest and instructed that its organisational structure be finalised without delay to facilitate effective policymaking on inhabitants-related issues.

The premier announced that he would personally chair the National Inhabitants Council, which would comprise the chief ministers of all four provinces, the premier of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the provincial head of Gilgit-Baltistan, and other key concerned parties.
